2010/01/29 - ApSTAT integrates demand and absenteeism forecasting modules into Optime

Omega Optimisation

ApSTAT intensifies its partnership with Omega Optimisation by integrating forecasting modules into Optime, namely demand forecasting and absenteeism and tardiness forecasting.

The demand forecasting module enables calculation of the “right” number of employees that must be assigned to specific tasks at each time of the planning period, taking into account the target level of quality of service as well as associated costs.

The absenteeism and tardiness forecasting module enables a more efficient planning and management of the negative impacts related to employee absenteeism, by proactively acting on precise indicators such as work shift quality, variable schedules, or the possibility of working from home.

These two modules are essential components within a comprehensive resource optimization strategy. Together, they magnify the benefits of a powerful workforce management software such as Optime.

2009/03/31 - ApSTAT Technologies announces the renewal of its mandate with the Army Research Laboratory

ARL

Since nearly one year and a half, ApSTAT collaborates with the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) of the U.S. Department of Defense to develop an automatic classification system for impulsive audio signals, such as detonations. This system relies on advances in signal processing and recognition algorithms developed for the past several years by ApSTAT, in cooperation with the Adaptive Computer Systems Laboratory of Professor Yoshua Bengio at University of Montreal.

Due to the excellent results reached by ApSTAT during the project Phase 1, ARL asked ApSTAT to study more complex aspects of the problem during a project Phase 2. This new phase will last 12 months.

2008/06/30 - ApSTAT et SQLiaison announce the availability of FellowDSS ORS

SQLiaison

ApSTAT Technologies has integrated its predictive analytics software Optimal Risk Sharing (ORS) into SQLiaison’s FellowDSS business intelligence suite. For an automobile insurer, the new FellowDSS ORS module enables the precise identification of the most under-rated risks and allows to transfer them to the Plan de Répartition des Risques (Québec) or Risk Sharing Pools (Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario), according to the local regulations.

Year after year, insurers must take part in the losses realized by each pool without taking advantage of the pool benefits, since they are unable to identify which of their risks should be transferred. FellowDSS ORS provides a solution to these insurers, allowing them to take the most uncompensated-for risks off of their books.

About SQLiaison: founded in 1994 with initial mandate to develop an innovative expertise in information management, SQLiaison has since grown its know-how to include project management, multidimensional modeling strategies as well as data integration and information analysis technologies. SQLiaison has developed SMART eBI, a pioneering methodology based on business intelligence best practices, as well as FellowDSS, a complete suite of analytical applications ready to be deployed in the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
